It feels a bit overwhelming to suddenly have all sorts of projects which I trusted to know better just be revealed in the last few weeks to have been compromised.
Some things I might now have to rewrite or fork myself because I can't even be sure the alternatives won't get compromised similarly soon.
Wtf is going on? This feels like a shitty Twilight Zone knockoff episode.
@lispi314 The industry has apparently collectively decided that if you're not using AI Agents you're some kind of loser who should be ignored and will be left behind.
I guess this decision happened while I blinked for a second, because there seems to have been no discussion about consequences, let alone second- or third- order consequences down the line.
YOLO-driven development is now mainstream.

Relatedly around now - when I was looking around the actually-safe-networking folks - tor, i2p, i2pd, gnunet - all of the developers are in 100% agreement that there is nothing to save any more from e.g. firefox, chromium, e.t.c. and even attempting compatibility with them as host environments is in general a damning mistake.
If I am being 100% hot on this take gnu emacs is in there too.
