Oooh, this really merits a cool badge you can wear! There's already some code to do this for Flock cameras, you just need another unit loaded for Meta glasses!

This App Warns You if Someone Is Wearing Smart Glasses Nearby

The creator of Nearby Glasses made the app after reading 404 Media's coverage of how people are using Meta's Ray-Bans smartglasses to film people without their knowledge or consent. “I consider it to be a tiny part of resistance against surveillance tech.”

Actually, what you need is multiple receivers which can triangulate this, and develop your own cloud of autonomous drones to stalk and harass Meta users, by following them around form a safe distance and taking continuous video of them... and/or dive bombing them, like crows do for predators. 🤪

@ai6yr

Omg

If you had never posted before, never helped anyone, issued warnings, given advice, and this was your only post, your account would still be in my top three RECs to news users.

@ai6yr I installed the app immediately, will test next time I'm in a busy area. But what this really made me think about is a low-power device of some sort, like a Pi Pico or something, scanning for multiple such devices. Hadn't even thought about triangulation, I guess having more than one of those in sync would then be useful.

I'm probably describing hardware which already exists, smarter minds and all that!

@tehstu This already exists and just needs minor code mods, uses an ESP32 device
