I got one of those Mastodon Verify / Mastodon Monetize phishing spams about five seconds after I posted this hashtag string:

#Iran #IranWar #WorldWarIII #DonaldTrump #PeteHegseth #BenjaminNetanyahu

So I'd say some phishing bot somewhere is camping something on that list and Replying immediately

Remember: do NOT click on any links in anything that looks odd or unbelievable

Oh: and I Reported it to about a dozen other instances

The list the bot had hit was very long...
