@NorcalGma2 I just *knew* she was going to leap into the water! What a wonderful companion she is!
My one requirement of a pup is that they be a happy water dog. First test for my last one (“Tippy”) was a complete success. We all went swimming in my family’s lake (deep and clear), and Tippy bolted off the dock to come swim with us. Love your photos of Summer! 🙂

Initially I thought she wasn't a swimmer. All of the sudden she changed her mind. Now she loves the water. She does wait for me to give her permission to jump in.

I've usually had labs in my life, from when I was a very small child - I was learning to walk when we first got Thor, I would hold his tail for balance. Nowadays it's my parents chocolate lab Seamus. There is a special place in my heart for Summer and all labs.
