@wjmaggos @ozoned@btfree.social @ozoned@tubefree.org I'm not familiar enough with how Owncast and Peertube work, but the main challenge is the different technologies they rely on: traditional broadcasting typically uses RTMP for ingestion, and HLS/DASH (HTTP chunking) for distribution. WebRTC is quite different from both, so you have two choices:

1. switch to WebRTC for both (what WHIP/WHEP are about)
2. add WebRTC to the picture, but keep the other too (which means transcoding and tech adaptation, though)
