@ozoned hey friend! So we don’t stream it live at the moment. The process and format is long-standing and we haven’t gone down that path, we have been scheduling a little in advance where possible with a short edit and publish cycle.

@ozoned Re PeerTube, definitely the most frequent thing I’m asked about! I’d also like to do that, but it’s a cost and resource issue for the Foundation to get that set up and managed. We do run our own Mastodon, and the main matrix.org homeserver, but no resource to add PeerTube or Owncast at the moment. I continue to have it in mind!

@andypiper I've been thinking about precisely this issue. We should invest in collective public infrastructure where we can share costs, pool resources and keep it all well maintained. Currently pondering on how to make this a reality. Maybe somekind of bartering (in this case) could be made between the Matrix Foundation & Framasoft?

@ozoned @andypiper I think Matrix is doing live talks over Element Call and Element Widgets, so you can get the video with chat in a matrix client. At least that's how I saw it previously, haven't checked if they do the same also for this conference, but likely. There is a little hint here in the "Online Experience" https://conference.matrix.org/attend/ but no direct links to streams yet
@andypiper@macaw.social and also, is it on Peertube at all? If not, can it be pretty please? 😁 If Matrix ran their own peertube they could pull directly from YouTube, so no extra work other than initial set up.
