@_elena@mastodon.social I mean, I won't use BSKY EVER. I'm happy it exists for those that choose to. But we're going to keep seeing this over and over and over again. But I'm also happy because more folks that choose to use other platforms takes power away from Big Tech.
I think things like this show folks that BSKY is NOT the same as Mastodon or the fediverse in general. But I think most won't care and for those that DO care, do they care enough to move AGAIN?
And if they do, we know they won't be going to Twitter. Maybe a few will run their own whatever in the Fediverse or some will be empowered to build something themselves and make it better and AP is the only way to go really imo.
No matter what, thank you ALL for joining us on the #Fediverse because the ABOVE is the ONLY alternative that Capitalism sees and I'm happy to have REAL choice.

Ms. Farid Johnson keeps discussing how they shouldn't scrap 230, but amend it with user security and interoperability.
I'm enjoying this just watching that idea get public.

Life pro tip: monitor your infrastructure. Screwing around with Grafana is already paying off, I might have identified my first failing SFP+ fiber module. It's still working... but 9mA to transmit -14 dBm over a short fiber run does not match at all with any other modules I have in production and seems very wrong. I'll make sure I have a spare on hand.
Thankfully this is not a mission critical line (no Owncast instances, just a Wi-Fi AP) but nonetheless, I'm already glad I took on this project.
@logan@social.logal.dev this is amazing. I don't know what this means AT ALL. But it sounds awesome and for someone hosting Owncast streams for fun shows an incredible passion we have on the Fediverse. Keep up the amazing work and thank you Sir

Did you know your average household throws away 1 forkin the garbage per week? That's why you end up needing to buy fresh cuttlery every few weeks. Interestingly, statistics show this doesn't apply to spoons or knives.
