@logan
Did your CI get stuck in a loop? 😄
@badnetmask@hachyderm.io @logan@social.logal.dev I hear there are pills for that.
Husbeard gonna drop me off in town to meet @feff
we both cant use our dominant hands
I had to button his shirt one handed
He had to put the seatbelt on me in the uber
We are so fucked up 😂
@JenJen@mastodon.art @feff@comicscamp.club that is NOT Husbeard. Why are you lieing Jen? Husbeard is a set of floating hands and in rare cases a luchador mask.
Just picked up Raccoin. I just love that game. Easily replayable, lots of fun sounds, flashy coins, creating different builds per run. Such a cute & fun game I just want to keep coming back to play. Because I had Balatro I think it was only like $10 and I've already spent a few hours in the demo and another few hours playing tonight.
I'm not at all into coin pusher games IRL, but this just hits the fun spot. HIGHLY recommend if you like trying to make crazy builds and want replayabilit in a game, but simple to learn mechanics. #game #gaming #coinPusher #steam #rogueLike
Trying to play Stone Shard and I have to remind myself, it's a Roguelike game. I'm going to die. Last run, I died, because I went in water and ran out of stamina and drowned. I was so pissed. Uninstalled. Went to the Steam page and was reminded ... ROGUELIKE. Ok. So I learned. That's the point. Learn and move on to the next one.
Unclear 😅. The reality is that I'm a better visual storyteller than a graphic designer.
The original logo was already *so good* and I just wanted something simple to collectively represent fedi-originated/adjacent streaming/broadcast.
It didn't occur to me until @ozoned mentioned it, but it doesn't even strictly need to convey a video-type broadcast. RSS loosely fits the same design language and has similar relationships with Fedi.
@ety@hive.institute @synduckate@lgbtqia.space love to see something like that overtake standard RSS. Click it and get RSS or Fedi. 😁
@ozoned dunno if it’s bad form but I didn’t want to spam an unrelated thread.
One thing you said inspired me to ask any software you use daily you think “it would be great if this was FOSS”?
@cleanduck@mastodon.social I've been a FOSS, now FFOSS, advocate for about 20 years. So I attempt to do everything with FOSS already. Really the only thing I use that isn't foss, is probably Steam. I honestly think it'd be possible to make a game store where you can hook in ActivityPub, kind of like AltStore is doing for mobile app stores. But I know that's a MASSIVE undertaking and a LOT smarter people than me have failed at an online store. 😁
But Emissary could make it possible. As I said there's bandwagon.fm which allows musicians to create their own stores for their music.
@cleanduck@mastodon.social @TheLegendOfThrill@mastodon.online
Thank you. 😊 I'm assuming you've seen my other show, Fireside Fedi? If not, there are TONS of folks I've spoken to, including THE @Mrfunkedude@beige.party . Funk might be the most important person I've spoken to. But there are others, like Evan Prodromou, Cory Doctorow, a weather entity, etc. 😁
@ozoned @TheLegendOfThrill @Mrfunkedude works on my machine live is a pretty brilliant idea btw great name too!

Sorry to spam everyone. I always forget.
If you want to follow WOMML you can just follow @ozoned@worksonmymachine.live to know when it goes live. It also shows a calendar (when I have something scheduled) that you can follow @when@freestreamers.btfree.org .
Or check out the VODs at @ozoned@tubefree.org .
Tube Free is my Peertube platform I started through my Public Charity @btfree@btfree.org to help find anyway I can to help promote the Fediverse and FFOSS ( federated free and open source )
@cleanduck@mastodon.social @Mrfunkedude@beige.party @TheLegendOfThrill@mastodon.online my recommendation, find a project you enjoy. Find where they congregate. Learn the project. Be vocal in helping. Profit. I'm not a developer. But I've been working with the Bonfire group, just running it, asking questions, giving recommendations, reporting bugs. There are TONS of Fedi projects on Matrix.
I'd honestly LOVE to see people starting to play with and test drive Fedify, Emissary and Bonfire. Because those 3 are attempting to be a solid base that allows folks to build on top of it. They worry about the Fediverse part and you build whatever you want.
Fedify is a low level library essentially that Ghost is using to enable ActivityPub.
Emissary ( emissary.dev ) is trying to allow folks to build HTML and CSS on top of it. If you look at bandwagon.fm that's built on Emissary.
Bonfire is a more out of the box solution, but is highly extensible.
Again though, just running it, giving feedback seems to have been invaluable to those developers. I haven't run Fedify, but I have run Emissary and Bonfire, and Manyfold, and I just gave feedback and the devs seemed to REALLY appreciate it.
Hell I even started "Works On My Machine Live" where I install from the docs with the dev and folks seemed to learn a LOT from that. I only have a few episodes, hoping to do more in the future.

If folks would like links to anything as well, let me know. My primary goal isn't to have all the answers. it's to help folks find communities that fit them. 😊
No one can do everything. Together, we can do anything.
@Mrfunkedude @TheLegendOfThrill any tips on getting involved? I’m new to this, but the idea appeals to me. I’m willing to volunteer developer time, but in my mind p2p has always been riddled with problems. I want to get stuck in using this app more and understanding the potential, and you seem like that one guy I should listen to 😅

I also apologize to @zzepposs@chaos.social for missing their incredible donation as well during the livestream the other day! We're still working on alerts for donations, so I totally missed it.
Thnak you SO much for supporting me, @BTFree and Fireside Fedi.
And to @evan@cosocial.ca , folks LOVED the mustache. So another vote for that. 😊
Thank you so much to @naj@posteo.de for the generous donation during the livestream on Wednesay. I completely missed and I really apologize. Hoping to get audio alerts and things set up someday!
Thank you so much Squirrel for supporting @BTFree and Fireside Fedi! <3
@firesidefedi Congratulations for the 90th! The people you have interviewed by now is awesome, but I'm having some trouble finding the full list, where is it?
I was thinking of suggesting a couple potential interviewees, but wanted to check first because I haven't listened to all of the episodes and maybe they've already been there... Seems like everybody's been there! 😁
Great job, man, really appreciate it.
@jandi@mastodon.social thank you so much!
You can find all the videos here: tubefree.org/c/firesidefedi/...
I have a playlist here, but I need to update it to include the latest folks: tubefree.org/my-library/vide...
If you're on Matrix, I have a matrix space folks recommend future guests. I also started a shared doc for folks to suggest people, though I haven't had anyone use it yet. Probably because I forgot about it. Lol.
Or just message here and @ the person so they know folks are interested as well and I'm not just soom random person asking. 😁
Really appreciate the kind words. It means more to me than just number go up. 😄 Started this to talk with folks, so it seriously means a lot to me.
@ozoned Ummm, are you me? I'm also a recovering Catholic, latch-key kid that loved STNG. And yes, I often look to Picard as the leader I strive to be. Which makes me think of this account @PicardTips
@Xavier@infosec.exchange lol born in the '80's? 1980 for me. Maybe we're twins. If so, I'm so sorry. 😁
Just watched Star Trek TNG S3E10 The Defector. Love that Trek. Picard the strategist, but also doing eventing he can to prevent bloodshed.
I was a latch key kid. Never religious though I was raised Catholic. I've been told by friends, some very religious, that I have very strong moral code. I honestly often wonder if it was TNG that helped me build those beliefs. Not like I had anyone, but the crew of the Enterprise around to teach me. 😁
I LOVE Mark Rober ❤️
His Squirrel Olympics are sheer genius 👏👏👏👏👏
@TCMuffin@toot.wales he's incredible. Teaching science in such a fun and interesting way. But also showing that he's not perfect and has to iterate to get things right.
Just watched Mark Rober's #TED talk on engaging science in the classroom.
He's created Class Crunchlabs to engage students and make a teacher's job easier. All classes are FREE forever.
