Basically I'm lazy and I'd just like an easy way to track all the conferences. Even an iCal feed would be great.

@ozoned @Mrfunkedude I agree with this but would also like to point out that both KDE and Gnome have user interface guidelines documents that will go a LOOOONG way to assist in usability. Go there first, leave the hard decisions to the experts.

Every time I've seen that it auto-fills with the user name and instance that whatever I'm using already knows I'm homed on and signed-in to

Have the "Sign-Up" or "Login" or "Sign In" or whatever. You click that and then it lets you know that if you already have a Fediverse account, you can follow from there.

And while he's a VERY technical person, he's struggling to understand the AP connectivity. I totally understand, because I had 0 clue how it works initially either.
One of the things he mentioned was seeing "Sign-Up" or "Login" made thim think he needed yet ANOTHER sign up for a new platform.
We are changing the game so fundamentally that we have to overcome 20+ years of bullshit.
THIS is literally what we're trying to solve. And I think we struggling with wording that indicate we're different, but similar.
I've been calling the #Fediverse #smallSocial instead of #socialNetwork or #socialMedia .
I was wondering if folks had any thoughts on how we can change "Sign-Up" or "Login" to let folks know if you have a Fedi account you do NOT need to sign up for another platform.
