In Switzerland, the right-wing politician and billionaire «Blocher» family is buying up one local journal after the other[1][2].
At the same time, the right-wing parties are denouncing and actively fighting public media by trying to take away their funds[3]. It makes sense, if you are a billionaire and recognize journalism as the fourth estate that it is, you want to push it as far into the "free market" as you can, because that is where money has the most unfettered power, and as someone with the infinite money glitch unlocked, you can reign freely and control the narrative.
Getting rid of public media and taking over private outlets has been the fascists' long-game for a while [4].

Palantir Sues Swiss Magazine For Accurately Reporting That The Swiss Government Didn’t Want Palantir
If you run a company whose entire value proposition is the ability to see patterns, predict outcomes, and connect dots that others miss, you’d think someone in the building might have flagged that suing a small independent magazine over unflattering-but-accurate reporting would only guarantee that millions more people read it. And yet, here we are. […]

But this snapshot of the political landscape also shows why Danish politics has more nuance than US politics. With 12 parties to choose from, most voters can find a party they agree with.
On the left there are three different degrees of socialism, and on the right, voters can choose parties with a focus on either economy, conservatism, or immigration.
And for the climate focused voters there are four different parties to choose from on the left, plus one economically right-leaning party.

Patterns of Democracy by Arend Lijphart
democracies with shared and dispersed power outperform those with majority rule systems, especially if the society is multicultural or diverse.
