@nek agree. Between #2A and "Stand Your Ground" laws seems defendable

@canadianglen I don't understand why there has been no organized voice of reasoned historical perspective reinforced with constant repetition, to educate members of current Society ("the Dēmos", or Third Estate; that is, the Public) and deconstruct and correct the false narratives surrounding the Second US Constitutional Amendment. For whom will it ever be possible to inform citizens in a way that the masses will hear, that the Second Amendment was NOT ever about guns. Reagan & Heston & La Pierre created that narrative -- the NRA was completely supportive of gun control before then, because you can't have armed African Americans. 2A was intended by privileged and frightened property owners as protection for their stolen land & their chattel by force; to conscript their vassal neighbors when they - and not any legal/government authority - considered it necessary for them to hoard or recover any property that had been expropriated (stolen land) or had run away (women, livestock, or slaves -- laws made little distinction) either to return them dead or alive, and to kill any indigenous people they encountered. Fundamentally this constitutional amendment had nothing whatever to do with guns, until Wayne LaPierre, Charlton Heston, and their "Federalist" fundraiser pals made that claim to warp the Constitution to fit their own white-christian-nationalist, prosperity theology after Ronald Reagan's White Fear gun control measures. Until that time the NRA was in favor of #gunControl

When the Black Panther party started showing up armed, conservatives did the same thing. They suddenly like gun control.

Claim via Social Media: White-christian nationalist fundraiser Charlie Kirk, revered by authoritarians for his perceived favor to power, said “the Second Amendment is not for hunting or self-protection, but so citizens can defend themselves against a tyrannical government.”

Snopes rating: True — The quote was accurately attributed to Charlie Kirk.
He posted the statement on X on March 3, 2018, and has repeated similar remarks in later interviews.

Until that time the NRA was in favor of #gunControl #2A
