Created an #Octoplushy with a pattern from #Freesewing.org. Altered it slightly to be more suitable for a newborn baby.
I'm making a second one soon, of which I will make the tentacles shorter and thicker. Stuffing these was not easy. Turning them right-side-out was also not easy. Altering the pattern will be easy, though. Freesewing has great pattern adjustment features.
I do like the size, though. That head has a diameter of 20 cm. Good stuff. It's made from the fabric of our old couch which was long due for replacement. The couch cushions were great for providing filling. And I used some different fabrics for the bottoms of the tentacles, to give the baby some sensory variety.
Thanks to @woutervw@freesewing.social for creating the pattern.

@Mastodon You know what would be nice? To have #Plushtodon as a sewing pattern on Freesewing.org! There's already a couple of plushie patterns there, I made one just the other day.

@freesewing Speaking of #mascot #plushies鈥攖here's this ancient website for a #Tux #plushie: https://free-penguin.org
Does anyone who "gets" open source licenses know if one could just take this pattern and adjust it to work on #FreeSewing? Would be nice to have FS's more advanced pattern editor with this pattern.
