I have a Framework 13, and overall I'm very happy with performance, and general stability. But one thing that has really started getting to me is the battery life.

Closing the lid, not having it plugged into power will drain the battery in a day or two (or something like that). I don't get it.

I'm running Fedora (currently 43) and I'm guessing that some of this is likely related to how Linux handles power management.

Has anyone got some experience in ... improving battery life for a FW13 laptop? I would totally love a "module" that could extend battery life because I never feel confident I can go without also bringing a power cable with me kind of defeating the purpose of the laptop.

Here's an example of misuse of a finite resource by putting it in a #disposible product. It's a lollipop that plays music. This might give an hour of entertainment if that. Then it's straight in the bin.

That's more plastic and metal waste leaching into the #environment which needs to be put to better, longer-term use.

I replaced the battery for my Dell laptop and was curious to see what was inside. I was vaguely aware you can check how far gone your batteries are by reading out the voltage and to my surprise they read 4.21V, 4.25V and 4.28V. According to my laptop battery information, the total capacity was around 35% (14 Wh).

I know very little about batteries but given all three cells are seemingly fully charged, it is possible there's an issue with the circuit of the battery? I'm just curious to learn more about these batteries as it seems wasteful (and perhaps dangerous?) to recycle these given they're fully charged.
