My mojo is back. I'm enjoying stitching this together even though it's awfully fiddlely work using an awl to go through four layers of leather. It's hard the keep the stitching straight going through this many layers and around corners but so far, so good. #maker #HandMade #leather

A rectangular leather box like structure on a work bench. There are metal pins holding it to a frame that is being stitched to its top. An awl is sticking out of it's left side. A pair of handles is partially visible on the bench on the left side. Once stitched the bag will fold closed on the top and be shaped like a loaf of bread.

I have the exterior, interior and handles done for a new handbag. All I have to do is pull it all together to be finished. What a slog. I'm finishing it because I started it but it's at least 50 hours of work and about $45 in materials but I know I'll never get the value of that back. I felt that when I was 20% done and it's been a chore ever since. I'll just be glad when it's finished. No one will ever give me my $525 price for it & eventually I'll donate it to charity. I hate feeling this way.
