#Palestinians have been quick to sign up for the new transitional #police force after applications went live Thursday, said Nickolay Mladenov, a senior #BoardOfPeace official.

"We started the process of recruiting a Palestinian police force...& just in the first few hours, we have 2,000 people who have applied to join a new transitional Palestinian police force to be formed in #Gaza," he told the meeting.
