Morning in a Cumbrian kitchen

Overnighting and about to do walk before run (the terrier is 14) and there is disquiet. Despite a big clock telling the time and my explanation of ‘no way in the dark given the sheet ice), Chai is fulminating. He claims the clock is in a foreign language and definitely not Scots.

The terrier is supremely relaxed. Mum is not up until 9.
