Changes at the top of CBC under Harper solidified CBC as pro pipeline. The Star is still owned by a major funder of the far right Peoples Party, and the Globe and Mail Publisher had them print his "climate change is real, but youre too late, oil wins, you lose" article, a decade ago.
#Canada's many great reporters and investigators work for the worst "news system"
Global News did a story on Carney's pipeline, and inserted anti Canada tweet quotes readers could push(!)
@kevinrns @EricaHargreave You really cannot compare any perceived bias at the CBC with the corporate-owned newspapers. The CBC is by far and away the most reliable news media in Canada. I've been involved enough both in news media and as the subject of news media to be able to attest to that.
I angrily and disappointedly reiterate that CBC is actively hostile to the need to replace oil as energy, as export, as development model.
CBC reporters bring truth, crisis, horror and accuracy back to the broadcast centre and Editorial rips its guts out.
On oil, the CBC is OPEC, is EXXON, is Trudeau, is Harper, is Alberta.
CBC says.
Let It Burn!
@kevinrns @EricaHargreave Sorry you see it that way. It's not my experience.
Seen a CBC special on replacing carbon, or a miniseries on building solar, another on home solar? An explainer on Biden's trillion dollar spending on climate? A discussion of the cost of Layton's windmill versus the spending on pipelines?
CBC, its biggest crime, convinces good Canadians that doing NOTHING to stop climate chaos is ok. Its ok.
CBC "Canada does nothing."
Canada. 'Oh ok.'
"No solar, no wind, more oil."
'Oh ok.'
"....unprofessional..." ? To report on news subversion. Sure.
