Seth Abramson @SethAbramson - 12h Obviously there'll need to be a full investigation—and there may be things we don’t know—but as a former criminal defense lawyer who worked homicide cases, my gut tells me this is Second-Degree Murder. As with all things ICE, every encounter is mishandled. The second officer blocked her in—again contra SOP—then made no effort to step aside (though the victim wasn’t under arrest). Seth Abramson @SethAbramson - 12h I think the other key thing to remember is that Noem, Lewandowski, and Miller are deliberately under-training and mis-training these officers, which underscores that they should be facing massive legal liability for the foreseeable results: i.e., homicides of innocent Americans.
