Sometimes, when talking about the Fediverse, I get the “there are not a lot of people there” argument. And you know what? That’s not important. I’m here because I find “the right kind of people”. The obsession with user numbers, with “eyeballs” as they were called before the dotcom crash, is just a corporate issue. If your users are your merchandise, you need lots of them.
