I agree with this creator here that despite the fact that large protests like No Kings are symbolic, they are also so incredibly important for building a larger coalition, etc.
My own thoughts on No Kings are along these same lines.
It is an access point for people who are new to this.
Also, guys, to newcomers, you can frame actions BEFORE No Kings as a type of “practice” if you will. It’s a big event people can work towards, a motivation to inform themselves about protests, privacy, etc.
“Let me show you a thing called signal before the next No Kings”.
“They’re having an ice observer training, might be useful, you know they’re coming for the superb owl.”
And so on.
Practice. Practice. Practice.
