Interesting read, it illustrates the challenge we have with regard to learning in a world with AI. We have to take measures for that because use of AI in coding is not going away and will only increase.

Incorporating structural #plasticity in #SpikingNeuralNetworks ( #SNN) enables dynamic #synaptic connectivity, reflecting the #brain's adaptability. By modeling synaptic growth and pruning based on #calcium concentration, we can simulate processes such as #learning and #MemoryFormation. In this post, I reproduce the #NESTSimulator tutorial on structural plasticity, demonstrating its impact on network stability and #homeostasis:

Via #LLRX All In: #Embedding #AI in #Law School #Classroom โ What is irreducibly human element in #legal #education when AI can pass the #bar #exam, generate effective lectures, provide personalized #learning & #academic support? This article by law prof Gregory M. Duhl confronts that ? head-on by documenting planning, design of a comprehensive transformation of a required doctrinal law school course for 1st yr #Contracts w AI fully embedded throughout the course design. https://www.llrx.com/2026/01/all-in-embedding-ai-in-the-law-school-classroom/
I'm finding this site to be a decent reading guide for #learning basic #Golang topics.
If I remember correctly, I first came across this website several years ago and the roadmaps were just block diagram pdfs.
Now, under each topic block are ~1-3 links to other relevant articles on the topic. It also keeps track of section completion & overall progress.
So far, it's been a mix of official Go documentation, Go dev's blog articles along with various third party blog posts. Some of it is a bit repetitive; but, I'm finding the examples useful for re-enforcing basic concepts. YMMV
Not sure I'm ready to try to articulate how much this person enriches my thinking in one way or another but it's kind of like opening a window and feeling a summer breeze on my face. The courage of thinking and grappling with problems in public is a big part of the appeal.
'Why care about belonging? Because it is fundamentally useful. It lets us predict a huge slice of the variance in developer productivity. Why care about psychological affordances around teams? Because it is useful. It lets us predict where we will find more effective teams and design for them'

I learned how to remove links from metal watchbands today.
I also learned that it can be fairly painful if you're using pressure and you push the pin through the band, and part of your finger is on the other side to receive the pin. Turns out, skin doesn't muster as much resistive force as it takes to get the pin out of the link.
I might have to put a link back in come summer. We'll see.
Note: edited for clarity because I was being confusing
I agree with this creator here that despite the fact that large protests like No Kings are symbolic, they are also so incredibly important for building a larger coalition, etc.
My own thoughts on No Kings are along these same lines.
It is an access point for people who are new to this.
Also, guys, to newcomers, you can frame actions BEFORE No Kings as a type of โpracticeโ if you will. Itโs a big event people can work towards, a motivation to inform themselves about protests, privacy, etc.
โLet me show you a thing called signal before the next No Kingsโ.
โTheyโre having an ice observer training, might be useful, you know theyโre coming for the superb owl.โ
And so on.
Practice. Practice. Practice.
Speaking as someone who is, herself, just practicing.
Small things.
You know what I learned, here on the fediverse, as I read more about privacy and activism?
Remove the ?si=123shittynumber from the YouTube url you share.
I didnโt know that before.
I learned it because I happened to be here, on the fediverse, and I was here because I was miffed about twitter despite never even having been on twitter.
There are many entry points to spaces for learning and activism.
Donโt knock the entry points, use them!
