The sun is just beginning to glint off the snow this morning, in this shot off my front porch. We have not yet cleared the paver entry walk for the 2nd time. It is really nice to see the blue skies again. The sun is a murky light blob behind the trees to the left in this photo. First time in a couple of days to see it!

Another picture from the same spot, looking straight out the front door. The top of the porch, stairs and sidewalk are still snow-covered, but not nearly as deeply as the area of grass which remains untouched.

Shooting up the street on the side of our home, and the looooong sidewalk I decided to shovel today. Such light, dry snow! I think I po'ed a dad with his daughter and a sled, but I'm here for the dog walkers and wanted to be sure they had an ice-free path up this hill, at least on our property. I think we have over 300' of sidewalk, but it was the easiest shoveling I've ever done. A sidewalk curves up next to a street which rises away from the camera, still snow-covered as are the homes on both sides. The property falls off over 50' from the front to the back, so I like to keep this open and clear for people walking up the hill. As of right now, the sidewalk is completely clear and dry, thank you, sun!

A lot of jumble in this strangely foreshortened photo, including a concrete, snow-covered bench, the trunk of a very large oak, a root ball from an older, rotted tree (we dug out this summer) and a "Everyone is welcome here" flag on a small holder. The rectangular-shaped boulders retaining this part of the side yard appear like iced cakes. The greenery of some very confused daffodils are barely poking above the snow.
