In the southeast and Florida, cold temperatures are expected to continue
through Tuesday morning following the departure of the intense system of
low pressure affecting the Mid-Atlantic over the weekend. Temperatures are
expected to reach below freezing again in parts of northeast Florida and
southeast Georgia overnight tonight, with lows in the mid 20s to low 30s.
Freeze warnings are currently in effect for the majority of Florida and
parts of southern Georgia from now until Tuesday morning. Afterwards, a
relatively milder trend is forecast to move into the region by Wednesday,
however, temperatures will continue to remain below normal for early
February for much of the Southeast. Meanwhile further north in the
Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Great Lakes regions, temperatures are
expected to moderate slightly on Tuesday, before the arrival of another
arctic air mass moves in by Wednesday and reinforces colder tempera
