upper Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic, and rain/thunderstorms from the
South to the Southeast through Wednesday...

moderate as the arctic air gets reinforced across the Great Lakes...

...Anomalous warmth emerges across the northern High Plains as clipper
systems bring some light snow across the Great Lakes...

One more morning of below freezing temperatures and wind chills into the
20s are ongoing across the Florida Peninsula.  As the intense cyclone
moves well out into the North Atlantic, this latest extreme cold episode
will come to an end as a steady moderating trend is expected to bring
temperatures back to the 70s by Wednesday afternoon, which are within
normal ranges for early February.

The next weather system of note for the next couple of days will be a low
pressure wave, currently developing over the southern Plains along a
frontal zone.  This weather system, with support from a jet stream in the
upper levels, is forecast to track eastward across the South, then moving
through the Southeast on Wednesday before reaching into the Florida
Peninsula by Thursday morning.  Moisture from the Gulf will be ingested
into the weather system to support showers and embedded thunderst
