The federal government should just ignore the UCP threat to withhold funding from judges in Alberta unless they get their way. There’s no benefit to Canada in acquiescing to stop the Alberta government hurting Alberta.

@deborahh I would hazard that allowing the UCP to pick partisan judges in Alberta would do little to protect charter rights in the province.
