To be honest I have bought way too many plugins through the years, and I rarely bought just one plugin at the time, but always some kind of bundle on sale.

I turns out, that this is actually an advantage when you move to Linux, since Yabridge/Wine have a tendency to make some - but not all - plugins working. Because of my collection, if one comp./verb/channelstrip isn't working, I move on to the next, and in the end I have what I need.

#Yabridge #LinuxAudio

@mosgaard For a while I had a serious Waves plugin addiction. Fortunately they went subscription and p1ssed everyone, including me, off. So I kicked the addiction.
These days I use the builtin effects in Reaper plus a few free extras. Those being SPAN, a VU meter and the headphone correction plugin from #beyerdynamics.
Instead I use the money on my microphone addiction :)

@johnrohde way better addiction if you ask me. But it is really nice doing a mix on Linux, and whenever my Linux native toolbox is too small, I reach out for old windows plugins through Yabridge. So even if I changed my OS, I don't really lack any plugins.

Well, Soothe2 is not running yet, and i miss that a lot!

@mosgaard The current shopping list is:
Sennheiser MD 46 for interviewing and Audio-Technica AT4053B for capturing sounds indoors for sound design.

@johnrohde uh, gode køb! Jeg husker AT'eren som en virkelig god overhead til alt muligt der lugter af "rum"

@mosgaard Yep, and no problems with comb filtering in untreated rooms as happens with shotguns.
