I keep eyeing the folks doing regular 20-30+km runs and want to just go out and do it, consequences be ignored. My brain reminds me the whole point of taking it slow is so that I can go do that very thing in time.

I am debating what I should be doing next. I've settled nicely into the Zone 2 running habit, and I *feel* as handling six days a week, but I think I'll have to cut that down to five as distance increases. Two days off in a row, or two-off-three-off? Things to try. Thoughts?

I've given up on making training plans of any kind. When I start running, I'm not even sure how long or intense the training session will be. I just set my limits based on whether or not I take water with me 🙂 Everyone is different, and different recommendations apply to everyone. I think the most important thing is to find your own way. Mine is to never lose the fun of running. For example, I almost never do slow 30k+ runs, but instead always run a bit faster. And I still manage to run marathons and ultras with good results.
But at least I try to run every other day, although that depends on work and family commitments.
