Starting a new job today. Feeling a little anxious. Thought about it last night, and came to the conclusion that I'm not too old for this IT shit yet.
The commute though.. I know I've probably been spoiled rotten, but spending an hour in my car every day during rush hour sounds like a nightmare.
Hopefully I can dazzle my way to at least one day working from home per week. Maybe two. We'll see.
@saustrup Commuting becomes a habit after a while 😀 I drove from Randers to the south of Aarhus and back for six years in total.
At first I was a bit annoyed by the long commute, but after a while I started enjoying it, because it meant I had time to prepare myself mentally for the tasks during the day.
@saustrup Good luck. I use commute time for podcasts I find interesting to offset the general arse of being expected somewhere else.
@scudderfish I usually listen to audio books, but this morning I was a little jittery, so I just listened to the radio. Not all that productive nor entertaining really, but somewhat soothing :D
