Tried tackling the grumpy and sunshine trope but I keep making my grumpy hero two grumpy, so much so that even I hate him as an author. How do others keep the balance? Nothing I am doing regarding this trope seems natural. It feels like I’m swinging a hammer way too far to the left, and then when I try and correct it, it goes way too far the other way.
