@rohitfarmer Never heard of Joplin. Following because I have a monthly Obsidian sub so I can sync but need to save some coins. I don't have Dropbox though.
@rashunda There is more than one way to sync in Joplin. It has a paid plan, but you can also use Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. I created a free Dropbox account just for notes that gives me 2.5GB space, which is good enough for my purposes. The main attraction for me is end-to-end encryption. Obsidian is really powerful, especially with its plugin system, but it can also be quite overwhelming and an overkill at times, IMO.
@rohitfarmer Thank you, thank you, thank you for the @joplinapp tip. I'm syncing with Dropbox and it seems to work! I'll give a few days before switching from Obsidian, but from what I see Joplin is just what I need. My only fear is that it's going to be a haul exporting from Obsidian to Joplin but I'll check out the help section. Cheers!
@rohitfarmer Obsidian overkill: Agree. When I use it, I feel like I need to return my Mensa card.
