Aptivi Weekly Tech News Issue #6 (Week 28 – 7/11/2026)

Every week, we collect every event that happened within Aptivi, our projects, and other interesting tech news. This issue shows you the brief summary of our project releases and some of our articles posted on the Aptivi Blog and on the Newsroom, as well as some links to other interesting resources, such as the most intriguing tech news during the week.

As technology evolves quickly, we have to move quickly with the current to make sure that we don’t miss any of the interesting technology-related events, such as new releases and other interesting events that revolutionize the tech world.

New Aptivi Project Releases

During this week, we have released the following projects and/or new versions of our existing projects. This serves as a commitment into ensuring that our projects become more usable and reliable as we add bug fixes and other improvements. Additionally, those releases may have added new features for productivity.

What happened at Aptivi?

During this week, sets of events have happened at Aptivi, and we have chosen to summarize some of the most intriguing events that we have covered here at Aptivi Blog and Aptivi Newsroom, as well as other Aptivi updates in case they happen.

This week, Linux 7.2 RC2 was expected to be released this week, which actually happened. Ubuntu 25.10 Questing Quokka has also reached end of life this week, which means that people who are still using this version of Ubuntu will no longer receive any official support and security updates, and they’ll have to upgrade their systems in order to continue receiving support.

When it comes to One UI 9.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S26, Samsung has made an official announcement in the Samsung Members forums in Korea stating that the fourth beta version will become available next week, starting from July 13th. Also, Home Up has been finally updated to support One UI 9.0, which is to be unveiled with the upcoming Galaxy devices.

Samsung has also sent out invitations to the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, which will take place in London, UK, on July 22nd.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy smartwatches have received another update, with the Galaxy Watch8, Watch7, Watch6, and Watch5 having already received the July 2026 security update everywhere, including Korea, the US, India, and other countries. Samsung has also started development for One UI 9.0 Watch for the Galaxy Watch8 and the Watch Ultra smartwatches, after having been in development for the upcoming Galaxy smartwatches for more than two months.

Summary

This week, Aptivi released two updates to two different libraries as bugs were being fixed for both Terminaux and Nitrocid as a result of implementing a new feature in the Terminaux library. We were also very busy crafting new features and integrating improvements and enhancements to ensure that Terminaux and Nitrocid become more stable.

In the other hand, Samsung began rolling out the One UI 8.5-based July 2026 update for the Samsung flagship phones, while completing the rollout of new Good Lock modules for One UI 9.0, with Home Up being the last module to be updated to support the new operating system. Additionally, Samsung updated the smartwatches to this month’s security update, sent invitations to the Galaxy Unpacked July 2026 event, and announced that One Ui 9.0 Beta 4 will be released next week.
