@ozoned @firesidefedi sure, I'd be happy to talk about it if you want! The podcast idea is cool too: I've done a lot of presentations on my work, but only a couple of podcasts, which is a pity as I find the conversation approach more interesting.
FYI, there's a lot of info material on WHIP/WHEP on my company blog too. The latest was on the libraries, with many examples:
https://www.meetecho.com/blog/whip-whep-nodejs/
It would be interesting to see how easy/hard the whole thing is for who's starting from scratch!
@lminiero@fosstodon.org awesome! Sent you a DM! 😊
@ozoned I don't think it's something you can improvise or add only as an afterthought to an existing backend: WebRTC is tricky, especially on the server side, and simulcast is only part of the equation. I did my tiny online concert last summer using OBS and WebRTC (no simulcast support in OBS back then) since I didn't have an Owncast instance I could use, so I just used my own WebRTC SFU (Janus) for the purpose. There are other servers too that handle WebRTC as a first class citizen
@lminiero@fosstodon.org reading through Janus docs. You built this?
I've been talking with me community and I think we're going to test this out, maybe live. If you're every interested in talking about this, let me know.
I run a podcast called fireside Fedi as well. We can do an interview of you'd like. @firesidefedi@tubefree.org if you care to check it out.
But also is you'd like to help or watch or anything.
Actually I'm also liking to run another podcast where I talk to a developer while attempting to install their application. It's called Works On My Machine LIVE.

Friends, if you haven't already, it would be a big favour to me if you could enable tags.pub to boost your public tagged posts.
Just search for @_followback in your Mastodon UI. Click the follow button there. (Don't try to follow from the profile page; it doesn't work yet.)
It will follow you back, and when you make a post with a hashtag in it, the server will boost your post from the appropriate hashtag.

I'm working on a YouTube mini series explaining the Fediverse!!
Who are the most knowledgeable people in this realm who I should definitely talk to?
What do you think is important to include in my series? I want to hear thoughts!!

@ozoned if you make a new post with a cw we can see if it's fixed
OH! Yes! Let me know if this works or not. I can also do a normal post as well if you think it's necessary. DEFINITELY a very important fix to check. Thank you @liaizon@social.wake.st

hey @ozoned was just looking at my github activity log and saw that Bonfire fixed the issue I reported after following your account. Are you updated to the new version?
https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app/issues/1804
@liaizon@social.wake.st I'm attempting to find the message you're referring to, but can't find it atm. So I don't fully remember the issue you're referring to.
But I am on the latest Alpha build atm. Thank you for all of your help and can you remind me of the issue again please?
