The has been a lot of rain recently so the Abhainn Loch na h-Oidhche was still flowing well and over the central stepping stones. I'd have got wet feet and is potentially dodgy if Skye slipped in. So we didn't cross. It's no bother, it still makes for a 7+ mile walk which is enough for a short winter's day.

Skye sitting before the ford over the Abhainn Loch na h-Oidhche. She looking back at me as if to ask to cross. I got her to wait as I wanted to check the ford was safe enough to cross. Water is flowing fast over the central stepping stones making it a bit dodgy. There had been a lot of rain in the preceding days.

Another couple of snaps from our walk the other day.

This was the sunshine, welcome, but rather late in the day.

There were deer around. I didn't see them but could smell them. Skye knew where they were though.

Skye on the track again. She's looking across the image at something unseen. I suspect deer on the slope above us. Whilst she is close to the camera, her face in focus and in sunshine, the background hill is soft.

The forecast said dry and sunny. It wasn't quite dry and wasn't really sunny. Other than it was perfect...

A long view to Slioch.

Despite the deer fence being open, I've seen deer here, the trees are growing. Yesterday morning the light was in short supply so the landscape was dark and difficult to get a good photo. Still, I quite like this view. It gives me the feeling of space I get when actually there.
