I know a woman who just retired and does a lot of interesting crafts - ceramics, sowing, book binding and gardening - and she's tired of Meta. I think she would be an interesting addition to the craft community on the fediverse - and for all others who like to see images of craft. What platform (Mastodon, Pixelfed) and especially instances specifically would be an appropriate place for her to join?

a round and vaguely egg-shaped nature spirit sculpture. it's glazed in a bottom-to-top gradient of purple to indigo violet and has spiral, plant, and flower carvings on its body. it also has a gentle, happy face. next to it on the left are some fresh, spring green fennel leaves (fronds?), and next to it on the right are some green speedwell leaves and a tiny blue-violet speedwell flower.

a raku ceramic creature. it has four stubby legs and a wide lower half. it tapers up a little and eventually ends in four small antlers. on the way, it has a very sweet face with a cute little nose. it's glaze in a bottom-to-top gradient of dark blue to purple to a soft red purple for the antlers. it is a friend. it's standing on a piece of chestnut wood with grey muslin and natural linen behind. next to it on the left are a daisy and some red dead-nettle: green leaves and tiny pinky purple flowers.
