The good news: I made my connection in Zurich and I found a seat.

The bad news: my original train was replaced by a much shorter one without a quiet zone and without my reserved seat. Also no WiFi or sockets. According to the train manager, it’s Deutsche Bahn’s fault.

Behind me someone is violently coughing. In front of me two loud Californians are complaining about pretty much everything. Little French kid is singing Jingle Bells on repeat. Little Swiss kid is just going “Uuuuuuurgh” on repeat. Same, kiddo, same.
