In his first public break with President Trump since taking office two days ago, Mayor #ZohranMamdani of New York City, condemned the capture of President #NicolásMaduro and his wife, calling it “an act of war” and “violation of federal and international law.”

“This blatant pursuit of regime change doesn’t just affect those abroad, it directly impacts New Yorkers, including tens of thousands of Venezuelans who call this city home,” the mayor said in a statement posted on social media.
