A chubby brown tabby looks up at the night sky through a window screen. Her eyes are huge boba balls of wonder, and her white bib stretches up her neck and over her chin to peter out as an asymmetrical nose blaze. Behind her is a gray yoga ball, pale wood, and coral walls.

A terrible, blurry photo of the lunar eclipse at totality. It doesn't look total here - more like someone is shining the Wu-Tang Signal instead of the Bat Signal. Most of the big round full moon is pink, but the bottom edge still looks white here. It was total to the naked eye, and to the clock, however.

Last night's #LunarEclipse from my balcony.

Using DSLR + Telescope.

Cursed clouds parted just enough to get a few nice shots in!

Now, I need EVERYONE to do whatever they have to do to ensure there are no clouds on 22 July 2028 - total solar eclipse over Australia!

Somewhere behind those impenetrable clouds is a spectacular #lunareclipse. The weather gods were not merciful today.

It wasn’t a total loss — it was lovely being the only person (crazy enough to be) on the pier at dawn, and I took some photos and got to learn my way around my smart telescope a little more. But this was my second serious attempt to capture an eclipse and the clouds foiled me both times. Hope I’m luckier for the next one in two years!
