Attention #Fediverse save the date!
On February 24th, 2026 in #Montreal we're putting on a fediverse event.
- A morning of technical talks
- An accessible afternoon to bring-a-friend
- An evening to socialize.
For my bit, I'll be doing a talk on how content creators can build their own self-hosted #Patreon with FOSS tools!
I always imagined such a thing would take place in multiple locations, with a self-host option.

@paige Would've loved to have come, but I already have travel plans 😭 will there be a live stream?

@paige I am very curious! If there are talks about how news media can effectively contribute to the fediverse, or anything overlapping with journalism, I may be able to travel to this and treat it as a professional development opportunity.
