THIS is why I love Andy! "nerdstalgia" LOL I learn so many new words. 😁

@JenJen@mastodon.art @feff@comicscamp.club

ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

😄

I <3 Linux as well as the Fediverse! Jenjen is getting all kinds of free in 2026! Next up, your phone! Muahahahahahahahaha!

Heads up Linux NERDS

We (by We, I mean @feff does all the work while I watch with this expression: :ablobaww1:) are planning on multistreaming (twitch/ @owncast ) me switching my operating system on my laptop today!

Dunno exactly what time, like after 3pm? (Feff can shout at me if I'm being too eager here)

@operationpuppet@mastodon.content.town Been there. Except I punched myself in the face and gave myself a bloody nose. Get better soon! 😄

@Mrfunkedude@mastodon.social @jandi@mastodon.social @lps@mograph.social @eloquer@social.tchncs.de I'll say, I do not think going with FediHost is a bad idea at all. But yeah, I have to do a lot of admin work for TubeFree and have needed a lot of help. Managed hosting is definitely going to be different. Changing your car's oil vs taking it to the shop and pay someone to change it.

@jandi@mastodon.social @apps@toot.fedilab.app I have not had them on Fireside Fedi yet. I'll have to reach out. Took a few weeks off for the holidays. I have on call next week, but going to try to start scheduling more episodes for the future. Thank you for watching. 😄

@ozoned@btfree.social @mayel we fixed the issue in recent alphas, tomorrow we will ship the 1.0.1 for you to upgrade! lot of improvement esp in regard of performance!!

Hey @mayel@bonfire.cafe . i followed you and @Bonfire@bonfire.cafe but sitting at Requested. I've seen this randomly. I know some folks need to approve follows. Didn't know if this was the case or there's a bug.

Happy New Year!

@Mrfunkedude@mastodon.social @jandi@mastodon.social @lps@mograph.social @eloquer@social.tchncs.de @HolosSocial@mastodon.social this is really interesting. It's a relay, but references mobile servers. Are any that work with this? Maybe I'm not fully understanding though?

@Mrfunkedude@mastodon.social @jandi@mastodon.social @lps@mograph.social @eloquer@social.tchncs.de I have TubeFree.org and I start folks at 50GB total and 2GB/day. I've updated a few folks that haven't even ask. With a S3 it's not very expensive honestly. $6/TB/Month.

@Floppy@mastodon.me.uk @evan@photos.cosocial.ca don't fall for it! That's two different people! Evan has been abducted or taken over by AI or ABDUCTED BY AI!

Evan succeeds and helps free the world from Bug Tech so the machines send a terminator back in time to impersonate him, but they can't grow hair!

@FediVideo@social.growyourown.services that's incredible! Thank you for making the list. :-). <3

Just as a bit of fun, I've done a playlist of some good #PeerTube videos from 2025:

➡️ https://fedi.video/w/p/ddaBzij9HNENLHN9U2XjMd

This does not cover every good video! Please let me know good stuff I've missed in the replies 🙂

All these were published in 2025, and uploaded by the people who created them.

- On phone: Swipe up first two videos at bottom to browse rest of playlist
- On computer: Choose video on right of screen

@hiphopheaven@mastodon.social @box464@mastodon.social I don't really use Mastodon. I've been using GoToSocial. But I really like Bonfire. It has some bugs, but I see it easier to control things for local communities. Happy to answer any questions I can. Also the bonfire devs might be there as well. And then I'll record and upload to TubeFree.org for those to catch later.

Here's your chance to see the fediverse platform Bonfire in action (without having to install it or create an account)

Our favorite fedi live streamer, @ozoned is going to be streaming an install and walk through soon (Jan 2 at 8 AM CST).

Add it to your calendars and #JoinIn

@pluralistic@mamot.fr once again gives an AMAZING presentation at #39C3 about how the current US political climate is helping to wake up the rest of the world to what they've lost in tech.

Thanks to Trumps' policies, we could be on the verge of a new age in technology and the internet. Not where who can get there first and lock in their customers, but who can create the BEST PRODUCTS for the consumers around the world.

This was an INCREDIBLE watch. Take 60 minutes and get excited with me!
