Lemme just gush about a hero. Donald Knuth. In 1978, this computer scientist decided he wanted to write a series of books and that wordprocessors sucked.

So he invented: TeX, the type-setting engine. Then DVI as a better print format, for the engine. And also better line wrapping with the Knuth-Plass line-breaking algorithm. And then Metafont for better font definitions and rendering.

On one hand, everything in one box appeals, because it's one box to maintain. On another, as it's been pointed out to me, when you put all the other boxes together, there's a chance you'll understand them, and be able to debug when they explode, also it will be only one piece that does so (possibly). Here, it's everything in one box, so more to understand about that one box, and if it blows up...
Also, one of few able to use object storage directly.

I recently took a photography class, and one of the areas we explored was depth of field. This was one of the photos I submitted. We used Flickr for the class, but now that the class is over I'm uploading some of the photos here. I more than likely won't be returning to Flickr unless I'm required to for some reason.
