A new day. A new chance to succeed.
The thing about last minute tasks isn't that they're last minute. It's that they're sometimes necessary.
Cooking dinner is almost always done "last minute" so it can be served hot and fresh. I'm a "look in the pantry, what can I make?" kind of guy.
It can be frustrating to be racing the clock as unfinished tasks pile up, but staying calm lets me put my energy on the tasks.
Whatever your last minute tasks might be, I hope you face them calmly #today

Pondering my word of the year for next year.
Practice has done yeoman's work this year. It's gotten me over some difficult hurdles.
I feel like I owe it another year, but that feels like a cop out on doing the work of thinking about where I am and where I'd like to be.
Yet when I consider alternatives, they feel flat. Rigid. Confining.
Not what I want for the coming year.

Good morning! I slept in this morning + am enjoying the quiet until my daughter and SIL wake up. Then we’ll see what’s up for the day.
I’ll be in the kitchen more often than usual this week, but I don’t mind. My favorite holiday moments are often at the sink, overhearing teasing, laughter and different groups of family catching up with each other.
Of course there’s a lot of juggling + compromise that is stressful. But I don’t have all 3 daughters together often. It’s with it.

I had a good start #today despite the gray weather. My qìgōng and tàijíquán always benefit when I spend some times refreshing on basics. I've also been practicing some newer to me techniques from Chán and Tibetan Buddhism during my sits with good effects.
I've been taking a break from exercise, mostly because of the weather being too cold for running lately. I may do some indoor exercise later this morning before getting on with the rest of my day.

Struggling to get my Tuesday working today, it doesn’t seem to want to start! Perhaps it needs a bump start!
Mrs S is off to the office today so I have the house to myself!
Plans for today include a yogurt of the lounge & s blitz on the floors with mop / vacuum cleaner as appropriate & then there will have to be a wrapping session - this may coincide with one or other of my fave Christmas movies, possibly Die Hard.
Right onwards!
