The #Trump admin is expected to announce several moves Thursday that will have the effect of essentially banning #GenderAffirmingCare for #transgender young people nationwide, even in #states where it is legal.
“Health” Secy #RFKJr will be announcing the measures in a press conference scheduled for 11AM at #HHS HQ. #DrOz, who leads the Centers for #Medicare & #Medicaid, Dr. Marty Makary, of the #FDA, & Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, of the #NIH, will all be at the presser.

In October, NPR exclusively reported on 2 new proposed rules for hospitals that #DrOz is expected to announce Thursday. The first would prohibit #doctors & #hospitals from receiving federal #Medicaid reimbursement for #medical care provided to #transgender patients younger than age 18. The second would block all Medicaid & #Medicare funding for ANY services at hospitals that provide pediatric #GenderAffirmingCare.
