It was lovely seeing so many people at the #TootWales app launch last night!
I wish we could have stayed longer but Lilith was already up well past her bedtime. Also that catering was top drawer, nicely done, @teamtoot!

It reminded me of some of the events I attended nearly twenty years ago, when the web was full of excitement and hope.

Chuffed to find it already available for my non-Google Android phone. Installed it to /e/OS via the @murena App Lounge.

At the #tootwales event, saw the app launch for a #community with a focus on #ease of use, #choice of content and #respect for human connection.

Based on the #interoperability of the #fediverse, several services can be easily combined to provide community owned content.

@jaz @teamtoot I tried out the #TootWales app and I do not use Google Play Store but Aurora Store from #fdroid to install it. When I open the app, it tries to also open the Google Play Store and that does not do anything. So, I cannot log in. #feedback #opensource

@teamtoot I've just noticed that the new #TootWales app doesn't appear in Google Play search results when I search for "Twt" rather that "Tŵt". Would it be possible to rectify this?

Given that not everyone knows how to type "ŵ", I am concerned that some potential new users may currently not be able to find the app in the Play store.
