Je ne vois rien à y redire, même s’il a été nommé par Macron.
Les entreprises du service public de l’audiovisuel sont constamment harcelées par l’extrême-droite, et l’Arcom est saisie par les mêmes sous n’importe quel prétexte.
Mais alors, il se passe quoi ?
L’hypothèse d’une intervention de Macron parce que « La France complice » ne lui aurait pas plu n’est pas impossible (c’est l’idée de @cathy) mais je n’en tiens pas compte.

🧵 Je crois que la Commission d’enquête parlementaire sur l’audiovisuel public a laissé des cicatrices. Avec son rapporteur ciottiste Charles Alloncle, ce fut une entreprise partisane du début à la fin, indigne du Parlement, une entreprise de harcèlement et d’intimidation. Son rapport n’aurait jamais dû être approuvé. J’ai honte de toute cette entreprise, prélude aux projets funestes de l’extrême-droite pour l’audiovisuel public.
Alors, les responsables de ces entreprises n’en peuvent plus, et ils ne savent plus quels gages donner encore à l’extrême-droite. Et l’Arcom pas mieux, j’ai l’impression.

Absolutely - and it's also flat-out media complicity in said hype. Remember, as @pluralistic pointed out recently, that there's a lot of documentation going on around things like IPO filings & many of those documents are far closer to the real story & on public record & any journalist can read them & tell the world what's in there.
The news media not printing those headlines is a choice & an abdication of duty.

We never thought the "AI" bros would be this willing to risk our collective safety just to make money and amass power. And that's on us, the signs were there.
They're not trying to avoid a paperclip maximizer, they're trying to build the closest resemblance of a subversive, unaligned paperclip maximizer they can, because that will look like the future that was once described.
It won't be. It'll be bad, but nobody was outsmarted by a machine. A lot of people were outsmarted by the usual Silicon Valley suspects.
Dare I say, again.
"AI" isn't going to kill a bunch of people, because it definitionally can't.
Capitalists might.
