Emotional pain is physical pain same as sensory pain. Both can add up. I recently realised that I suffer much less from sensory issues when I have emotional support in my life.
So while there is no "cure" for sensory issues, providing emotional support in difficult situations might help your autistic friend or family member to be more resilient and suffer less from sensory issues too.
It can make a huge difference.
This is why I moved to the #fediverse: "On the other hand, it is fundamental to point out the economic oligopolies that control our attention and from which addictive technology is derived. This leads us to think about the need to establish self-regulation codes or good practices, as well as legislation that guarantees digital rights as human rights".
