Tired of winter already? Yearning for mountain flower meadows? I can help with that.

This is a side trail in the Spray Park area of Mt. Rainier National Park, WA. As soon as we left the main trail and wandered off on this side trail through the flower meadows we did not see anyone until we returned to the main trail.

A well worn path follows the base of a gray limestone cliff. The rock is deeply undercut where the creek wore away a softer layer of stone under a harder one. On the other side of the path, the land falls off sharply to the creek below. The hill is covered in small trees showing off their fall colors.
