What the cheapest way to run (several) domains from your own home server in terms of DYNDNS for low traffic sites, and does that include proper email services incl. SPF, DKIM records etc, and running a few low traffic newsletters?

We are moving our instance to a server in the #EU

We are a #nonprofit org in the US and first created our instance in 2017 but don't have the resources to manage it very well, so we probably will use a managed hosting service. 😉

We are planning to support 100 - 200 users on the updated, larger instance.

We've found several services for this. Are there any success / horror stories you can share?

Also, a question: when looking at EU providers, is it sufficient if they are based in the EU to avoid the US chaos? Must they also have to have no business presence in the US?

How to install Piefed using Docker Compose? I gave up installing Lemmy and Mbin. Why, after I install, is it always federation problems? Posts on original instances showed the original upvote count, but my instance showed only 1 upvote and "subscription pending" forever.
