Oh wow. There was 3" (8 cm) of snow overnight in my area of Raleigh. Some places nearby saw 5" (13 cm), and other places in NC saw 10" (25 cm). Looking outside my window I can't tell the difference between my lawn, the sidewalk and the street, it's all just the same white blanket.

The State is really not prepared for this level of accumulation, so there are only a few snow plows around, and obviously not enough even for the major roads.

I'm glad I don't need to go anywhere, but I'll be here hoping for the best for those who can't stay home.

Well #raleigh got a little bit of #snow, anyway. Our force field held up for most of the day but collapsed in the evening. I wish we’d gotten a lot more snow but I’ll take what I can get. It does look pretty outside.

Chris Williams was a total pro on his first school contact. He was enthusiastic and said it made him think about his own kids.
